The front page of arcade for example has been spammed by lobby bots for years now making games with 3.000 online never reach it and games with 20 people in holding top spots (blocking rising modes from getting an average Dota2 player to know about them).Ĭomparing dota 2 management to underlords or team fortress isn't even in the same ballpark. There are 1-3 games that are relatively popular but the whole scene has been slowly dying for years now due to multiple reasons most of which Valve could fix if they cared enough. Haven't played arcade mode in a while, but I'm pretty sure I see twitch streamers play some of those modes every day still And the last good set from D+ was released more than a year ago (whilst previously they were adding premium sets on the regular basis). In dota 2 the only way for you to do that is via Dota+, a paid feature, and even then this paid feature only gives you literally garbage for 10k shards. Every multiplayer title nowadays provides ways for people to earn cosmetics while just playing the game (even Valve's own CS:GO does that much better than Dota). Is the dota+ seasonal sets even an issue? Who gives a fuck lmao. You'll see posts created on daily basis which are also heavily upvoted (due to the issue being widely present). Go to r/dota2 and search "game lag" or "stuttering". Never experienced that or ever seen anyone post about it. Game stuttering sounds like a you problem. Comparing dota 2 management to underlords or team fortress isn't even in the same ballpark. There's no doubt dota could be managed better, but to say they gave up on dota 2 or manage it extremely poorly is a gigantic exaggeration. Haven't played arcade mode in a while, but I'm pretty sure I see twitch streamers play some of those modes every day still. I know there was a whine thread on reddit recently about the sets, but who cares lol. The reason why I and pretty much everyone is subbed to dota plus is for item suggestions/skill builds/hero ranks and unlock able voicelines. Playing ingame I can't remember the last time I experienced a big bug that wasn't fixed in a couple hours (neutral item bug most recently). The bugs that have been in the game for years are generally pretty mild ones. Sure they only fix bugs that hit the frontpage of reddit, but that's because the gamebreaking bugs hit the frontpage super fast. (the game is stuttering and has lots and lots of bugs in it that Valve only fixes when it reaches the front page on the subreddit)
